Re-tune your digital terrestrial television (DTT) receiver
DTT brings to audience a brand new audio-visual experience and provides flexibility for the broadcasters to deliver a wide variety of digital television programmes and new value-added services, such as interactive television. Subject to approval by the Broadcasting Authority, the two free-to-air broadcasters may from time to time introduce update of their DTT programme channels so as to bring to viewers new programme choices.
In order to enjoy the most up-to-date digital television programme channels of the broadcaster(s) (e.g., updated programme channels delivered by the Asia Television Limited in April 2009), existing DTT viewers may need to re-tune their digital receivers (e.g., set-top boxes, integrated digital television sets, etc.). Please refer to the user manual of your receiver for the procedures of re-tuning or consult the supplier of your receiver directly.
Similar to other digital consumer electronic devices, most of the suppliers of the DTT receivers will provide upgraded firmware versions from time to time so as to add new capabilities and introduce performance improvement to their devices. You should check regularly with the supplier of your DTT receiver for the latest firmware version. You may consider performing the respective firmware upgrade as needed so that your digital device can achieve its optimal performance level. Bear in mind to get the correct firmware version for the model of your device and pay attention to the required procedures for the upgrade. For doubt, you should consult the supplier of your DTT receiver.
| Digital tip: | To enjoy the full benefits of DTT, re-tune your digital receiver for any update of DTT programme channels when necessary and keep the firmware of your device up-to-date. |
